Texas Biennial Anniversary Exhibition, Lawndale Art Center
Partner Organizations
The Texas Biennial is an ambitious program that is strengthened by the collaboration of organizations and artist collectives across the state. Since 2011, when the Partner Organization program was established, organizations have scheduled special artist talks and lectures, designated works by Texas artists on display in their permanent collections, installed temporary exhibitions of work by one or more local artists, and highlighted exhibitions featuring contemporary Texas artists.
In our sixth edition we are proud to partner with a diverse, vibrant, and compelling group of 78 organizations. Texas Biennial Partner Organizations are ambassadors for TX★17 in a variety of ways. Partner Organizations were crucial to the Road Trip by recommending studio visits and assisting in making connections with artists and cultural leaders. Now, these partners are key advocates for promoting the exhibition to their communities. Select Partner Organizations will also showcase Texas artists in their space as official auxiliary elements of TX★17. Programming by TX★17 participating organizations will be highlighted during the run of the Texas Biennial open call group survey exhibition, September 30 - November 11, 2017.
